INCOMING TAXATION SEMINAR FOR CO-OPERATIVE SOCIETIES IN KENYA ON 16TH -17TH MARCH 2017 In the recent past, Kenya has experienced tremendous growth of the Co-operative Movement with the Co-operative Societies having a footprint in various sectors including Finance, Agriculture, Marketing and thus playing an important role in wealth creation, food security and employment generation. This growth brings with it various challenges among them, tax compliance with the ever changing tax legislations as the government seeks to raise its revenues. The Kenya Revenue Authority has been resolute to take advantage of inherent tax exposure areas emanating from myriad operations as evidenced by the recurring tax audits in the recent past. To ensure that Co-operative societies hedge against this risk, CAK has partnered with Ernst & Young in organizing two days’ seminar on a number of topical issues.
