Cooperatives attends training on taxation, cybercrime risks, and prevention at Maanzoni Lodge

20 September, 2021

The training, which was organized by CAK, began on Friday, September 15th, 2021, in Maanzoni Lodge, Machakos County. The training focused on taxation, cybercrime risks, and prevention, with the goal of assisting SACCOS in reducing the risks associated with the use of technology. The training also covered taxation, as the cooperative sector suffers tax compliance challenges as the government strives to raise income through ever-changing tax regulations. For the economic advantage of their members, cooperatives are growing increasingly ambitious in terms of expansion and growth. The tax regime, on the other hand, is gradually becoming a complex labyrinth of tax rules and regulations, and cooperative societies must constantly discover innovative ways to align their tax strategies with their overall business goals while meeting compliance duties. As a result, CAK put together a team of experts to walk them through these complex topics and make them more practical for their application. CAK provided an engaging learning experience in both taxation and cybercrime dangers that any society would benefit from. Board members, Audit Committee/Supervisory Committee, Chief Executive Officers, Executive Committee, Internal Auditors, Senior Managers, Accountants, IT & Risk Staff, and any other employees who needed a deeper understanding of the topics covered were among those who attended the course.
